Approaches

My practice draws on several approaches, each offering a particular way of attending to psychological and bodily experience. These include Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), Brainspotting, Psychedelic Somatic Interactional Psychotherapy (PSIP) and Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), alongside a wider foundation in somatic, relational and depth-oriented work.

Some provide a focused process for working with a particular difficulty. Others inform how I understand relationships, development, inner conflict and meaning. Together, they allow room for experiences that can be explored through words, as well as those that first become apparent through sensation, movement, emotion or imagery.

Choosing an approach involves considering what brings you here, what you have already tried and how you respond to the work. I explain what I am suggesting and why, and we remain attentive to whether it feels useful and manageable. A method can provide direction while leaving room for questions, uncertainty and adjustment.

The pages below describe individual approaches and what working with them may involve. You do not need to decide which one suits you before making contact; we can explore that together.
